Overwatch 2 Multiplayer Matches Will Be 5v5- Daily Research Plot
Overwatch 2 Updates: Developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch is a multiplayer first-person shooter game that allows players to select from a variety of characters with unique abilities.
The players play against each other in teams of six, with two teams battling each other on a map trying to complete specific objectives within the game while also trying to defeat the other team. In the course of time, Blizzard has added a number of new characters, maps, hero-abilities, and many more making the game more interesting and playable.
The game was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows in May 2016 and for Nintendo Switch in October 2019. A sequel of the game, Overwatch 2 was announced in 2019 and will be having a new Player Versus Environment co-operative multiplayer modes.
The game Overwatch 2 will be having 5v5 mode with the previous version of the game having 6v6 mode. This will bring in major changes in the game creating a huge difference in matches and gameplays.

In the sequel, a new co-op mission will also be introduced where players will be able to team up to battle against computer-controlled enemies. Although only a little detail about the game has been spilled to the public until now; but the developer’s Blizzard Entertainment has recently announced a Livestream to showcase the game’s competitive multiplayer mode and also new maps.
The director of the game, Aaron Keller has officially announced in the Overwatch 2 developer Livestream and subsequently in the official Twitter account as well that the game will have teams of five and not a team of six like the previous. Overwatch 2’s team composition will now be more strategic.
With the sixth position gone, thus removing one tank from the composition the players will now have to focus more on defense with only one tank in hand. The official tweet said, “Tanks for the memories Overwatch 2 will officially be 5v5 ! ”
Along with this great news, came another bad news that struck the community. Jeff Kaplan, the director of the game who’s been known for always communicating with the community has recently left Blizzard entertainment. His place has been now filled by Aaron Keller who’s a veteran developer and has also been a part of the Overwatch team since its early stage.
With the coming in of 5v5 battles, it has fallen into the same category as Valorant and other such competitive games and is bound to face huge competition from these games.
