Aquaman 2 Title Reveals About The Sequel’s Story

Aquaman 2 Updates: The original Aquaman was released in December 2018 which grossed more than $1 Billion. To everyone’s astonishment, Aquaman became the biggest success which in turn made the DCEU & Warner Bros superhero hit and brought them together again to quickly work on a sequel with James Wan returning to direct.

The details of the movie are still under wraps. We also know that the cast for Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom will be returning with Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as King Orm, Yahya Abdul Mateen II as Black Manta, and Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus.

Now that Aquaman 2’s official name has been disclosed, let’s talk about what kind of potential story will Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom hold.

As we can see, the title itself portrays a few details about the sequel and we also know that this movie is going to be more serious than the previous one. It builds off of the first film and is clearly connected to the Seven Kingdoms of Atlantis. Aquaman shows the history of the kingdom when it falls into the ocean and the aftereffect of it.

It says after falling into the ocean, The Atlantis was divided into seven. The movie included Six of Seven Kingdoms which were, Atlantis, Xebel, Fisherman, Brine, Trench, and the Deserters.

There was a brief mention of the lost Seventh Kingdom but it didn’t provide much insight on the same. When the Council of Kings was created, Orm says to King Nereus that the Lost Kingdom had not yet vanished, but something had happened that made the kingdom part of Atlantis’ past rather than it’s present or future.

We can expect that the history and the current situation of the Lost Kingdom can heavily weigh in on Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom.

Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom’s focus on the Lost Kingdom might allow the tale to go in a number of various directions. At the end of the film, Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) was crowned as the King of Atlantis and unified the Xebel, Brine, and Fisherman tribes.

Aquaman’s search for the Lost Kingdom makes sense as he has seen The Trench and what’s left of The Deserters. There are certain rumors about what happened to it in the years of the Great Fall, but only Aquaman 2 can properly explain what happened.
