Is Perlego any good?
The idea of Perlego is superb. Perlego gives access to a host of books otherwise inaccessible to me. The staff are polite, helpful, precise, and they solved the queries I had very quickly.
Dubbed the ‘Spotify for textbooks’, this online subscription service costs £12 (US$16) per month for students, and gives subscribers unlimited access to over 200,000 titles, including a range of textbooks and non-fiction books

Can I copy text from perlego?
At the moment, it’s not possible to copy-and-paste due to copyright restrictions. However, we are looking into building a feature that would allow you to copy-and-paste a limited amount of text (like all the quotes that you need!).
Perlego is not available on e-readers such as Kindle or Kobo, however, we have an app where you can download many of our books! This app is available on both iOS and Android devices and you can find out more here.
How do I copy and paste from an eText?
- Highlight the text you wish to copy.
- Click the Copy icon ( ).
- Use your computer’s Copy command to copy the text you highlighted from the text field that pops up. ( …
- Use your device’s Paste command to paste the text into another document or email.
Simply open the book you want to cite and click on the quotation-marks icon in the menu on the left hand side. Choose your preferred citation style and simply copy-paste the citation straight into your essay.
