The Talk Season 12 Renewed After Sharon Osbourne- Daily Research Plot
The Talk Season 12 Updates: Sharon Osbourne in March left “The Talk,” which presently includes co-has that includes Elaine Welteroth and Carrie Ann Inaba. There are more gossips and chitchat to be had.
“The Talk” has been renewed for a 12th season which follows a long-time co-host Sharon Osbourne’s dramatic departure from the daytime show recently this year.
On Monday night, the show’s Twitter account conveyed the message that #TheTalk has been officially renewed for one more year on @CBS returning for a twelfth season in 2021-2022! This also brings more fun, more topics, more talk. So everyone should wait for this.
CBS didn’t reveal whether the current crop of co-hosts — Sheryl Underwood, Carrie Ann Inaba, Amanda Kloots, and Elaine Welteroth — are largely returning or whether a replacement for Osbourne would be named.
We have reached out to reps for “The Talk” for some additional comments.
The talk wad was shaken when there was a controversy recently this year after Osbourne, 68, and Underwood’s heated on-live race row— which Underwood, 57, later said leaving her to deal with PTSD — prompted a rest for the show and an exit for Osbourne.
The Talk Season 12 Renewal Status
Following the live spat, previous show co-hosts came out to blame Osbourne for using racist and homophobic language on the set in the past— allegations that Osbourne has denied vehemently.
The previous co-host Leah Remini claimed Osbourne once called Julie Chen, who is Chinese American, a “wonton” behind the scenes, and alluded to Sara Gilbert, who is a lesbian, as a “p—y licker.” Ex-co-have Holly Robinson Peete claimed Osbourne for saying that she was “to ghetto” to be an important part of the program.
As Page Six recently reported that Osbourne left the show in March with a “$5 to $10 million minimum payout,” although a CBS representative said the thought of Osbourne being on the receiving end of that aggregate is “false, inaccurate or untrue. Take your pick.”
